Conservation Volunteers invites you to participate in our World Environment Day Tree Planting Challenge on Friday, 9 June 2017.
We have identified key sites in both Auckland and Wellington and across Australia that need your help. Teams will be challenged to plant as many trees as they can in a two hour period, competing against each other to see who will be crowned the champion.
Gather your workmates together, invite other divisions in your workplace, challenge your interstate branches or extend the invitation to your customers and clients. You may enter as many teams as you like.
Celebrate the end of the day with a complimentary BBQ lunch followed by a nature walk.

Sites around New Zealand
We’ve found priority sites across New Zealand where you and your team can help restore these significant locations:
Auckland – Whenua Rangitira, located 7kms from the CBD, is being steadily returned to its original native bush thanks to the dedication of Okahu Rakau who has a bold vision to restore the natural values of the areas feeding into the Orakei Basin and Waitemata Harbour.
Wellington – Mount Victoria. This year planting will be at the Forest at the Heart of Wellington – a long term ecological restoration project in celebration of the Rotary Club of Wellington’s Centenary which falls in 2021. To commemorate their Centenary, Rotary and Conservation Volunteers have committed to planting 100,000 native trees on Mount Victoria in Central Wellington by 2021 and we need your help! The site of our forest is a popular area of the Mount Victoria Town Belt and just a stone’s throw from the central city.
