Sandra Mendez, Board Member, Conservation Volunteers New Zealand

Sandra Mendez is a social and economic development practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the private and public sectors across the Pacific, Asia, and Latin America. 

Sandra specializes in communications, monitoring, evaluation, research and learning, and gender and social inclusion. She has provided technical support and strategic leadership to numerous private-sector development initiatives funded by New Zealand, Australia, the USA, and the European Union.

Sandra holds a master’s degree in Business Studies, a post-graduate degree in International Development and a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication and Community Development.

Over the years, she has gained significant expertise in inclusive programming and strategy, particularly in addressing gender and social inclusion issues within the private sector.

Sandra and her family live in the Far North of New Zealand, where they contribute to the conservation of native bush.
